ESSAA’s reputation with NYSED is further enhanced by the fact that we have representatives participating in a wide variety of statewide work groups and initiatives hosted by the Department. Once again, the professionalism and expertise of our members in contributing to these initiatives serves to solidify our standing as a premiere professional organization. 

Our SED/Regents Liaison attends all Board of Regents meetings as well as stakeholder meetings and provides informed feedback to the membership by summarizing these meetings in timely electronic mailings.

In addition, ESSAA retains a lobbyist in Albany to protect and advance your legislative needs. Our lobbyist is supported by our own Legislative Liaison whose sole task is to listen to our membership and develop positions to be advocated by the lobbyist with the legislature in Albany.
