The following is a summary of the benefits presently available to members of the Empire State Supervisors and Administrators Association (ESSAA). As ESSAA continues to grow in membership and influence, its benefits package will also continue to grow. We will publish a revised pamphlet of benefits as often as necessary to keep our membership advised of all available opportunities.

Without a doubt, the strongest benefits of ESSAA are in the legal and legislative services provided to its membership. As you read this brochure, you will find a description of those services that are immediately available. Concurrently, you will find a variety of insurance plans available to you, some as part of your membership, and others as part of an optional plan which has become available to all members.

Also included in the ESSAA Membership Benefits package are programs such as Enterprise Car Rental discounts and personal contact with Travel Showcase, Inc. These benefits have been designed to save ESSAA members time and money when traveling.

The ESSAA Executive Board intends to provide its members with the best benefits program available. To meet this goal, we are requesting that, if you know of benefit opportunities that are not currently part of our program, you notify a member of the Executive Board. We will make every effort to follow up on all leads and if possible, make the appropriate additions to our Benefits Package.

Professional Legal Services

Membership in ESSAA entitles its members to a full range of legal services, provided by staff attorneys who are specialists in educational and labor law. Among those services are:

• Protection against improper dismissal
• Representation in judicial tenure litigation and Educational Law (3020A) dismissal proceedings
• Protection against illegal action taken against a member by a school district or other employee groups
• Processing and representation in grievance procedures
• Representation in matters dealing with improper practice concerning contract and other job related issues

Personal Legal Services

Members of ESSAA can receive legal assistance on non-job related personal matters including but not limited to the following:

• Free document explanation and review
• A reduced rate on all legal services
• Free Personal Injury Consultation

Travel

Discount travel programs are available to ESSAA members through Travel Showcase, Inc. Travel Showcase, a fully staffed highly qualified travel agency, will arrange any and all travel plans including air, hotel, car rental, tours, cruises and special packages at a price which is the lowest of any retail agency. Term Life Insurance

ESSAA members receive, as part of their membership, a $10,000 Term Life Insurance policy pro-viding their date of birth and chosen beneficiary are on file at the ESSAA office. Other optional insurance includes:
